Two industries · verified end to end

Two trades. One standard of proof.

VeraSource goes deep in surgical instruments and sports goods — two trades Pakistan leads the world in, where verification is the line between a maker and a middleman. Every factory clears the same five layers before a buyer ever sees it.

Built deep, not wide

Two trades. Both led by Pakistan. Both impossible to fake your way into.

We chose industries where a buyer’s risk is real — a non-compliant medical device or an off-spec match ball costs money and reputation — and where verification is the line between a maker and a middleman.

The same standard, every industry

Whatever the trade, every factory clears five layers

Industries differ in their certifications — but the verification spine is identical. That’s what lets us add an industry without ever lowering the bar.

Legal Identity & Tax

Company registration and tax identity checked against government registries.

Export History

Customs declarations and shipping records audited across 24 months of trade.

ISO & Quality Certs

The trade's certifications validated against the issuing body — ISO 13485, CE, FDA, FIFA, ISO 9001.

Factory Audit

Independent on-site or remote audit of capacity, quality systems and labour conditions.

Layer 5 — verified buyer reviews — accrues from a factory’s first completed deal, so reputation is earned on the platform over time, never bought.

Why it matters

A directory listing isn’t proof. Verification is.

Most B2B directories list anyone who pays. In these two trades, that gap is exactly where counterfeit certs and middlemen live. Here’s the difference, line by line.

The buyer’s view

Sourcing surgical instruments or sports goods from Pakistan

VeraSource is built deep in two trades — surgical instruments and sports goods — that Sialkot, Pakistan supplies to the world. In both, a buyer's real risk is the same: a self-declared certificate, a relabelled middleman, or an off-spec product that only shows up after the order lands. So we verify the maker before you ever see it. Every factory clears the same five-layer check, and every certification is validated against the body that issued it — not taken from a printed logo.

Surgical instruments: a certificate is a legal route to market, not a badge

For a reusable surgical, dental or veterinary instrument, certifications are not marketing — they are your legal route to market and your liability shield. ISO 13485 is the quality-management standard written specifically for medical devices; treat it as the baseline. CE marking is what lets the instrument be sold in the European Union under the Medical Device Regulation, and an FDA establishment registration (with 510(k) clearance for many instruments) is what clears US customs. They are separate regimes — a CE mark does not satisfy the FDA — so match the certification to the market you actually sell into. As of February 2026 the FDA's Quality Management System Regulation incorporates ISO 13485 by reference, so the two systems now align more closely than ever.

The other quality variable is the steel itself, and a credible maker will name the exact grade. Cutting instruments use hardenable martensitic grades — 420 for blades, 440C where maximum hardness is needed, 410 for general-purpose tools — while non-cutting instruments that must resist corrosion often use austenitic grades such as 304 or 316. If a supplier won't tell you the grade, the finish, and whether the instrument is passivated, treat that as a red flag.

Sports goods: a test report beats a printed logo

For match-grade footballs, the FIFA Quality Programme is the benchmark, and it is measurable: independent labs test each ball for circumference, sphericity, weight, water absorption, rebound and shape retention. 'FIFA Quality Pro' is the top tier for elite competition; 'FIFA Quality' covers club and training use; and 'FIFA Basic' — the rebrand of the old IMS (International Match Standard) — is the entry tier. Ask which tier a ball is certified to and request the test report rather than trusting a logo printed on the panel.

Beyond footballs, Sialkot is a major source of boxing and goalkeeper gloves, protective gear and team apparel — much of it built to order with printed, embroidered or sublimated branding. Specify construction, cover material, bladder type and panel count up front so quotes from different factories are genuinely comparable, and always order a sample before a full run.

How we verify a Sialkot factory — the same five layers, every trade

Industries differ in their certifications, but the verification spine does not. Every factory's legal identity and tax registration is checked against government registries; its export history is audited across two years of customs records; the trade's certifications (ISO 13485, CE, FDA, FIFA Quality, ISO 9001) are validated against the issuing body, shown with their expiry date; and an independent on-site or remote audit confirms capacity, quality systems and labour conditions. Verified buyer reviews then accrue from a factory's first completed deal, so reputation is earned on the platform over time, never bought.

That is what lets us add an industry without lowering the bar — and what lets you source on evidence instead of claims. Browse the verified factories in each trade below, see the certifications we have already checked, and inquire with the factory direct: no broker, no markup.

Frequently asked questions

  • What does VeraSource verify before a factory is listed?

Every factory clears five layers before a buyer sees it: legal identity and tax registration checked against government registries, export history audited across 24 months of customs records, the trade's certifications validated against the issuing body, and an independent on-site or remote factory audit of capacity, quality systems and labour conditions. Verified buyer reviews accrue afterwards from completed deals.

  • Why does VeraSource only cover surgical instruments and sports goods?

We go deep rather than wide. Surgical instruments and sports goods are two trades Sialkot, Pakistan leads the world in, and both are trades where a buyer's risk is real — a non-compliant medical device or an off-spec match ball costs money and reputation. We open a new industry only once its core certifications can be checked against a real issuing authority, so the standard never drops.

  • How do I know a certification shown on VeraSource is genuine?

A certification appears on a manufacturer's profile only after VeraSource has validated it against the body that issued it, and it is displayed with its issuing body and expiry date. That means you can confirm an ISO 13485, CE, FDA or FIFA credential is real and current before you send an inquiry — instead of discovering a lapsed or self-declared certificate after you have placed an order.

  • Can I contact the manufacturer directly, without a broker?

Yes. VeraSource charges no commission and inserts no intermediary — you inquire with the verified factory directly, and the entire exchange stays on a tracked inquiry thread so quotes, specifications and commitments are on the record. No broker, no markup.

The roadmap

New industries, added the right way.

Our platform treats an industry as data, not code — so adding one is standing up its verification standard, not rebuilding the site. The question is never “can we list it?” It’s “can we verify it to the same bar?”

We open an industry only once its core certifications can be checked against a real issuing authority — the same rule that protects buyers today.
