From first document to first inquiry

The manufacturer’s guide to getting verified in Pakistan.

Everything a factory needs to know to get listed, get verified, and get orders on VeraSource — in one honest document. Seven sections. No fine print saved for later.

01HOW IT WORKS

Before you apply the complete list.

Most platforms reveal their document requirements halfway through signup. Here is everything VeraSource will ever ask for, before you create an account.

To get listedREQUIRED
  • NTN certificate (National Tax Number)
  • Company name, address and contact details
  • What you manufacture — your product lines
To climb the ladderOPTIONAL — ADD ANYTIME
  • Export documents — goods declarations, bank advices
  • ISO certificates (13485, 9001, …)
  • Factory audit — an independent on-site inspection

DEFINITION

NTN — National Tax Number
Your company’s tax registration with the FBR (Federal Board of Revenue). Every registered Pakistani business has one. It is the single document that gates your listing — we check it against the legal record.

That is the entire list. Nothing else is requested later, and the optional documents never block your listing — they raise your rank once verified.

02HOW IT WORKS

Getting listed in three steps.

From an empty form to a live listing in the buyer directory. One gate stands between you and the directory — and only one.

TIMING

We aim to review the NTN check within a few business days of upload. Deeper layers (export history, ISO, audit) each run on their own clock and never block your listing while in review.

03HOW IT WORKS

Your record is built from evidence, not claims.

Five layers, each checked independently. What we look at, and what each verified layer does for you.

YOUR DOCUMENTS

Who sees what you upload?
Only our verification team. Documents live in private, encrypted storage and are never shown to buyers — buyers see the verified outcome (the badge and layer status), never the underlying paperwork.
04FIELD ADVICE

Write the listing that gets shortlisted.

A procurement manager gives your card seconds. Your listing wins when the four numbers they need are already on it: price basis, MOQ, lead time, capacity.

DO

  • Photograph your real floor. Machines, hands, in-process work — buyers trust what looks lived-in.
  • State FOB price, MOQ and lead time on every product. Complete terms get shortlisted.
  • Use real specification numbers — material grades, sizes, standards buyers can check.
  • List every product line you run. Each published product is another way to be found.

DON’T

  • Use stock photos. Buyers recognize them instantly — they read as something to hide.
  • Write “contact for price.” A card without terms is the first one skipped.
  • Inflate capacity. A factory audit that contradicts your listing costs more than modest numbers ever would.
  • Copy a competitor’s description. Duplicate text ranks worse and reads worse.

TERMS BUYERS WILL USE

FOB (Free on Board)
Your price includes delivery to the port and export clearance; the buyer pays freight from there. The standard basis international buyers expect to see.
MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)
The smallest order you accept. An honest MOQ filters inquiries to the ones you actually want.
Lead time
Days from confirmed order to goods ready at port. Quote what you actually hit, not your best week ever.
05FIELD ADVICE

The first reply wins the order.

Inquiries arrive in your dashboard with full context — which product, which quantity, which market. You reply to the buyer directly; nobody stands in between, and nobody takes a cut.

Speed matters more than polish. International buyers usually write to several factories at once — aim to answer within one business day, even if the answer is “checking, full quote tomorrow.” A fast partial answer beats a slow perfect one.

The anatomy of a good first reply

  1. Confirm what they asked forRestate product, spec and quantity in one line — it proves you read the inquiry.
  2. Give a price with its basis“USD 4.20/unit FOB Karachi at 5,000 units” — a number with no basis starts a week of back-and-forth.
  3. State MOQ and lead time plainlyIf their quantity is below your MOQ, say so and offer the nearest workable option.
  4. Ask exactly one good questionTarget market, required certification, or packaging — one sharp question moves the deal; five kill it.

Every verified layer you hold does quiet work here too: a buyer comparing two similar quotes will choose the factory whose claims are on the record.

06HOW IT WORKS

Rank is earned, not bought.

Your trust level is computed from your verified layers — on our servers, from your record. It decides where you appear when a buyer searches.

Four layers count toward the public badge today (buyer reviews accrue after launch). Each layer that verifies raises your trust level by one — and trust level drives directory ordering. The math is the same for every factory.

There is no paid placement, no gold tier, no featured slot. Elsewhere, top positions are sold by membership level. On VeraSource the only way up is the ladder — the one currency every factory can afford.

07QUESTIONS

Asked before you did.

How long does verification take?

We aim to review the NTN check — the only gate to listing — within a few business days of upload. Deeper layers each run on their own clock and never block your listing while in review.

What if I don’t have ISO certification?

You can still list and receive inquiries — ISO is a rank layer, not a requirement. Add the certificate whenever you obtain one and your trust level updates as soon as it verifies.

Do you take a commission on orders?

No. VeraSource is a directory, not a middleman — buyers contact you directly and you transact on your own terms. Listing is free at launch.

Who sees my documents?

Only our verification team. Documents are stored in private, encrypted storage and never shown to buyers — buyers see the verified outcome, never the paperwork.

Can factories outside Sialkot list on VeraSource?

Yes. The NTN check is national, so manufacturers anywhere in Pakistan can apply. Sialkot’s surgical instruments and sports goods exporters lead the directory today, and every listing climbs the same ladder.

What happens if a layer is rejected?

A rejected rank layer (export, ISO, audit) never removes your listing — it simply doesn’t count toward your trust level, and you can resubmit with better evidence. Only the NTN gate controls whether you appear in the directory.
