How VeraSource verifies every manufacturer

Every verified factory
has a paper trail.

Our manufacturer verification process is five independent layers of evidence — legal identity, export history, ISO/quality certification, factory audit and buyer reviews — each checked against an official source and signed off by a named, independent auditor. A factory clears every active layer before a single buyer can see it. Trust here is earned, not a label a factory pays for.

Checked against the source

Documents are verified against official government and issuing-body registries — not taken at face value.

Auditor-signed & timestamped

Every layer is signed off by a named auditor and stamped with the date it was confirmed.

You see the outcome, not the file

Buyers see which layers passed — never the underlying legal or export documents. Evidence stays private; only the verified result is public.

01 — 05The five layers

Watch a factory earn its badge, one layer at a time

Each layer is verified independently against an official source, then auditor-signed and timestamped. Pick any layer — or just scroll — and the dossier on the left climbs to match, exactly how a buyer watches trust accrue. Buyers see the evidence, not the promise.

  1. Legal Identity & Tax

    Checked against Pakistan government registry

The manufacturer submits company registration and NTN tax documents. Our auditors match every detail against official Pakistan government registries.

What it proves — Proves the company legally exists and is exactly who it claims to be — the foundation every other layer stands on.

  2. Export History

Checked against Customs & shipping records

The factory provides customs declarations, shipping records and buyer references. Auditors cross-check roughly 24 months of real trade.

What it proves — Proves they genuinely export to international markets — a track record, not a claim.

  3. ISO & Quality Certification

Checked against Each issuing body's registry

The manufacturer uploads each certificate — ISO 13485, CE Mark, FDA 510(k), ISO 9001. Each one is verified individually against the issuing body's registry.

What it proves — Proves quality systems are real and current. Because every certificate is graded on its own, one valid cert can never vouch for the rest.

  4. Factory Audit

    Checked against Independent on-site auditor

An independent auditor inspects the factory on-site or remotely — capacity, quality systems and labour conditions — then signs the report.

What it proves — Proves the factory can actually deliver what its profile promises, at the quality and volume stated.

  5. Buyer Reviews & Reputation

Builds from the first completed transaction

After a manufacturer's first completed transaction, verified buyer reviews begin to accrue into a live reputation score.

What it proves — Adds an ongoing, buyer-driven trust signal on top of the four audited layers. This layer activates with the first real deal.

The barWhat we hold them to

The standards we verify against

We don't take a certificate at face value. Each one is checked, individually, against the registry of the body that issued it — so a single valid cert can never vouch for the rest.

The pathFrom upload to listed

How a factory actually gets verified

The five layers are the what. This is the how the path every factory travels before a buyer can ever see it.

  1. Documents submitted

The factory uploads each layer's evidence directly to private, encrypted storage — never a public link.

  2. Scanned & quarantined

Every file is malware-scanned before any human sees it. Anything suspect is quarantined, never reviewed.

  3. Independent review

Evidence enters an auditor queue. An auditor who is affiliated with the company can never review it.

  4. Signed decision

Each layer is approved or rejected as an immutable event — recorded with the auditor's name and the date.

  5. Goes live to buyers

Once legal identity passes, the factory is listed. Each further layer verified raises its trust level.

The meaningWhat “verified” actually means

A badge you can actually rely on

The badge isn’t a marketing label — it’s a live readout of evidence that passed an independent review.

Trust level

Each verified layer raises the level

Legal identity is a hard gate

A factory is invisible to buyers until layer 1 is verified. There is no pay-to-list shortcut around it.

The trust level is earned, never set

It's counted directly from the layers a factory has actually passed — it can't be typed in or bought.

Auditors are independent

An auditor can never review a company they're affiliated with. Conflicts of interest are blocked, by rule.

The honest bitScope & limits

What verification does — and doesn’t — guarantee

Honest limits build more trust than louder claims. Here’s exactly what our badge stands for, and what it doesn’t.

What we verify

Up to four independent layers, each checked against an authoritative source:

  • Legal identity (NTN / registration)

    Required to be listed

Checked against Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)

  • Export history

Checked against State Bank of Pakistan / Pakistan Customs

  • Quality certifications

Checked against The issuing bodies (e.g. TÜV SÜD, SGS)

  • Factory audit

Checked against On-site or remote — capacity, quality controls, labour

Every verified item shows when it was checked and which authority confirmed it — often including an in-person visit in Sialkot.

What it does not guarantee

  • It is a point-in-time verification of identity, history, certifications, and facility — not a guarantee of the outcome of any specific order (the quality of a given shipment, on-time delivery, or that a dispute will never arise).

  • It does not replace your own due diligence on a specific transaction.

  • VeraSource is not a party to your transaction and does not hold or move funds — there is no escrow or trade-assurance program at this stage. Payment terms and protection are arranged directly between you and the manufacturer.

  • A verified status reflects what was true at verification; we monitor and police it (see our trust & integrity policy), but it is not a continuous warranty of conduct.

Buying safely on VeraSource

Request samples

Ask for samples before committing to a full order.

Use payment protections

Letters of credit, a third-party escrow service, or milestone-based terms — especially for first orders.

Keep it on-platform

Keep the conversation on VeraSource until you’re confident; share contact details only when you choose to.

Confirm the specifics

Put specs, lead time, and terms in writing directly with the manufacturer.

The other halfWhat we turn away

A badge is only worth what it rejects.

Anyone can show what passed. The harder, more honest signal is what doesn't — every rejection is recorded with a named auditor's reason, and the factory has to fix it and resubmit before that layer can ever clear.

  1. An infected or unreadable file

Every upload is malware-scanned before a human ever sees it. Anything flagged is quarantined and never reaches an auditor — it cannot be reviewed, let alone approved.

  2. A certificate that's already expired

A lapsed ISO or CE certificate is blocked at upload. It shows as “expired / renewing”, never as verified — an out-of-date credential is not a current one.

  3. Details that don't match the source

If the submitted legal name or tax number doesn't match the government registry — or a cert can't be confirmed with its issuing body — the layer is rejected, not waved through.

  4. Products outside what was verified

A factory can only list inside the verticals it was verified for. A sports-goods maker can't list surgical instruments — the category itself is rejected.

  5. Legal identity rejected? Nothing lists. A non-gating layer rejected? The factory stays visible, but its trust level drops until it's fixed.

Now you know what the badge means

Whichever side of the trade you're on, the verified evidence works the same way.
