These are extended-length trephines for work that needs a deeper core than a standard set will reach. The hollow serrated cylinder cuts a circular groove and leaves a solid column of bone standing inside it, which is what makes the instrument useful for three jobs: harvesting a full-length cylindrical autograft, coring around a failed or fractured implant so the fixture can be removed with minimal surrounding bone loss, and taking a deep bone biopsy. The longer working length matters in the second case especially, since a trephine must encircle the entire length of a failed implant to release it, and a standard-length instrument will stall partway down a 13 mm fixture. Six diameters run from Ø3.5 mm to Ø6.5 mm, spanning the platform range of most implant systems, so the surgeon can select the smallest trephine that will clear the fixture and preserve the surrounding bone. Each bur carries laser-etched depth rings along the tube wall, and the tray prints a scaled diagram keying those rings to 6, 8, 10, 11.5 and 13 mm. Open side windows in the tube let bone debris clear and let the operator see how far the core has advanced.
