This kit pairs a tapered bur sequence with a separate bank of slide-on depth stoppers, which is what distinguishes it from a plain drill set. The burs carry the VS-series designation — VS2540, VS3545, VS4248, VS5258 and related codes — with working diameters stepping through Ø2.3, Ø3.0, Ø3.5, Ø4.3, Ø4.5 and Ø5.5 mm, arranged in three colour-coded rows on blue, red and yellow silicone stoppers. A pilot drill on a white seat opens the site at the head of the sequence. The right-hand section holds seven anodised stoppers marked L3, L5, L7, L9, L10, L12 and L13, colour-separated in black, blue and gold. Each slides over the bur body and mechanically limits penetration to that depth, so the same bur can be used at several planned implant lengths and the depth is fixed by hardware rather than by the operator watching etched rings. That is a meaningful safety feature in the posterior mandible near the inferior alveolar canal and under the maxillary sinus floor, where over-penetration is the complication that cannot be corrected. A scaled bur diagram is printed on the tray keying the shaft markings to their depth values.
