This is the service instrument for Locator-style overdenture attachments, designed to work across the common universal attachment platforms rather than a single implant brand. The slim knurled body gives a secure grip in gloved hands and is small enough to be used chairside inside the mouth or at the bench on a denture. The stepped tip at the driver end seats and tightens the Locator abutment onto the implant; the collet section behind it holds and carries the retention insert. In normal use the tool performs three jobs in sequence: driving the abutment to place, removing the black processing insert from the denture cap after pick-up, and seating the final coloured retention insert at the chosen retention level. The gold-anodised section marks the second working end so the two functions are not confused, and the white end cap protects the tip in storage. The tool is supplied in a fitted foam presentation box, which makes it suitable for sale as a single unit or as a replacement item for practices that already run a Locator inventory.
