From the manufacturer

Description

A stock molar band or preformed stainless steel crown rarely matches the tooth exactly on the first try-in. The Johnson contouring plier lets you correct that fit chairside, in seconds, rather than switching sizes or sending the case back. The two beaks are shaped to mirror each other — one convex, one concave — so they close as a matched pair. A single squeeze presses a smooth, even curve into the band or crown wall instead of pinching a crease into it, which matters because a creased band loses its seal at the margin and traps cement and plaque. Working around the circumference lets you tighten the band to the tooth contour, close a gap at the gingival margin, or open a section that is binding. The head is slim and the beaks are curved, so the tips reach the band margin from either the buccal or lingual side without the handles fouling the adjacent teeth. Handles are long and tapered for a full-hand grip, giving enough leverage to move band material without straining the wrist through a fitting appointment. Built to Accuram's orthodontic range specification: medical-grade 400-series stainless steel, DIN-norm tolerances held throughout production with CNC-cut go/no-go gauges, every edge precisely rounded, and a brilliant satin finish that reduces glare in the operative field. Fully autoclavable.
