From the manufacturer
The rigid spatula is the mixing workhorse of the dental laboratory and the plaster room. Where a flexible blade is chosen for gentle folding and clean bowl-scraping, a rigid blade is chosen for the opposite reason: it transmits the operator's force straight into the mix. That matters when working thick plaster, dental stone, alginate or investment material, where a flexible blade simply bends away and leaves the mix incompletely wetted and full of trapped air. The blade tapers from a wide, round-ended working tip back to a narrow neck at the ferrule. That geometry gives two useful ends of one tool: the broad face flattens, spreads and lifts, while the tapered edge cuts through set material, scrapes a bowl or slab clean, and slides underneath a mixed mass to transfer it. The blade is flat and smooth-edged throughout, so it cleans down easily and leaves no seams to trap set material. At 19 cm overall, this is the mid-length option in the range — long enough for real leverage in a mixing bowl, short enough for controlled work on a glass slab. The wooden handle is shaped and tapered to sit in the palm for extended mixing sessions and is fitted to the blade with a metal ferrule. Beyond the dental lab, the same tool is a standard fixture in the pharmacy and compounding bench, used for mixing ointments and creams, working powders on a slab, and sorting or counting tablets — which is why this range sells into laboratory and pharmacy supply as well as dental. Manufactured to Accuram's standard process: German manufacturing technique, DIN-norm tolerances, boil test plus special surface treatment for maximum natural corrosion resistance, and full batch/lot traceability for five years under an ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 certified quality system.
