From the manufacturer

Description

The Accuram 1217-26 is a double-ended composite filling instrument from the 1217 Restorative series, intended for placing, carrying and shaping restorative material during composite procedures. One working end is a lance-shaped (leaf) blade, 2 mm across at its widest point, tapering to a fine point with symmetrical bevelled flanks. The opposite end is a flat, rounded oval blade 2.5 mm across, with a broad face and smoothly radiused edge. Unlike the angled members of the 1217 series, both working ends on this reference are carried on straight, unbent shanks in line with the handle axis. The shanks are of tapered flat-sided section, drawn down progressively from the handle to preserve rigidity at the blade while keeping the instrument light in the hand. The instrument has an overall length of 17.5 cm and uses a hollow stainless steel handle with a textured satin body and machined ring bands at both grip zones, giving a secure non-slip hold. The handle is laser-marked with the Accuram Instruments name, the CE mark and the reference number 1217-26. Both working ends are supplied in uncoated, polished stainless steel. This distinguishes it from the titanium-coated members of the same series, which carry a -BL or -GL suffix. Manufactured under Accuram's standard production process, which the company describes as following German manufacturing techniques, with tolerances held to DIN norms and each lot accompanied by a Q.C. certificate carrying a unique traceability ID. Accuram Instruments operates under ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 certification.
