Accuram 1516-10 Mayo-Hegar Needle Holder is a 15 cm stainless-steel needle holder designed for 2-0, 3-0 and 4-0 sutures, and is the shortest size in the Mayo-Hegar range. It features short, straight, blunt-ended jaws with fine cross-hatched serrations and a central longitudinal groove for secure, rotation-resistant needle control. The one-piece instrument has a box joint, equal round finger rings and a three-step ratchet for adjustable clamping pressure. Its brushed satin finish carries the Accuram Instruments name. The Mayo-Hegar range is offered in 15 cm (1516-10), 18.5 cm (1516-12), 20 cm (1516-14) and 23.5 cm (1516-16), all rated for the same suture sizes. Each length is also available with tungsten carbide inserts under the T suffix, identified by gold-coloured finger rings. Manufactured using Accuram's standard process based on German manufacturing techniques and DIN tolerances, each lot includes a traceable Q.C. certificate.
